The 12th annual New Media Seminar, hosted by TALKERS magazine, was held in New York City on June 5-6. The 520 attendees comprised a well-rounded mix of talent and management, from both terrestrial and internet radio, as well as sales professionals and others affiliated with the various facets of talk media.

“The Future of Radio” was the topic discussed in what was billed as “An Audience with TALKERS Magazine Publisher Michael Harrison and McVay Media News Talk Specialist Holland Cooke” on March 7 at IBS/2009, the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System’s National College Radio Conference in New York City. In the session, Harrison and Cooke tell a group of young radio broadcasters their view of radio as it is today and where they think it is heading in the emerging world of new media.
